Market size of high-tech sector has reached 106 billion yuan, a rise of 18.4% from a year earlier
China has built more than 200 digital smart factories, and it is estimated that the domestic smart manufacturing market will exceed 220 billion yuan (US$31.78 billion) by 2020, CCTV News reported.
According to the latest China Intelligent Manufacturing Development Annual Report, the market size of China’s intelligent manufacturing has reached 106 billion yuan in 2016, a rise of 18.4% from a year earlier.
The output of industrial robots also exceeded 130,000 sets in 2017, an increase of 68.1% year-on-year, accounting for one-third of the world market.
So far, China has formed four major intelligent manufacturing clusters, including the Yangtze River Delta, the Bohai Rim, the Pearl River Delta and the Midwest region.
Among them, the Yangtze River Delta region is experiencing intensive economic activity, and is moving faster in promoting intelligent manufacturing.
