Eagle Packaging Machinery recently introduced equipment that can form extra-large produce trays.
The Vassoyo Air XL makes trays that can be used with or without a lid and features a pre-load station to stage up corrugate, a powered mechanical that lifts one index tray at a time and a vacuum blank sheet feeder to transfer blanks through a forming and gluing system.
It has an upward moving forming section allowing a large blank to be formed squarely as opposed to the traditional downward motion, according to a news release. Other benefits include a user-friendly color touch screen with operational instructions.
The Vassoyo Air XL has the ability to run a vast array of tray sizes along with several other features making it a viable solution for the produce industry, according to the release.
